Chicago - a aventura estava prestes a começar

Eu, o José Louro e o João Catarino encontrámo-nos no aeroporto cerca das dez da manhã de segunda feira, o voo era ao meio dia e quinze. Como levava umas pequenas garrafinhas de vinho do Porto, para fazermos um brinde quando fosse feito o anúncio do Simpósio no Porto em 2018, que pensei que teria que despachar no porão, decidimos ir mais cedo. No check-in da United disseram-nos que se separássemos as vinte garrafas entre todos, não haveria problema e podíamos levar nas mochilas, misturadas por entre os cadernos. Problema resolvido!
Fomos em lugares separados, e eu fui o único a desenhar neste primeiro dia. Achei que seria um bom prenúncio para Chicago, e que viria de lá cheio de muitos e bons desenhos, capazes de fazer corar de inveja um daqueles dois monstros que iam comigo. Mais tarde veio a revelar-se um puro e total engano. Sobrevoando o imenso oceano atlântico pensei que a aventura estava prestes a começar...

José Louro, João Catarino and myself met at the airport around ten in the morning on Monday the 24th, the flight was at noon and fifteen. As I was carrying some small bottles of Port wine to make a toast when the announcement of the Porto 2018 Symposium was announced, which I thought I would have to send in the plane basement, we decided to go earlier. We were told at United Airlines check that if we separated the twenty bottles among the three of us, there would be no problem and we could carry them in the backpacks, mixed between the sketchbooks. Problem solved!
We went in separate seats, and I was the only one that draw on this first day. I thought that would be a good presage for Chicago, and that it would come from there with lots of great drawings, capable of making those two monsters traveling with me completely jealous. Later I realized that I was completely wrong. Flying over the immense Atlantic Ocean I thought the adventure was about to begin ...
